September 3, 2021

Dear Parents/Guardians,

On August 31st, Governor Wolf and the Acting Secretary of Health announced that masks will be mandated in all Pennsylvania Public K through 12 Schools, effective Tuesday, September 7, 2021. As a result of the announcement, the Cameron County School District will require all students, staff, and visitors to wear masks inside the district buildings.

One thing that has changed with this Order, as compared to last year, is that “close contacts” of a COVID positive individual may not be required to quarantined for 14 days, provided masks are worn properly. The focus of the Cameron County School District and Pennsylvania Department of Education is for all students and staff to remain engaged in in-person instruction.

We thank you for your continued cooperation and support as we all navigate through the challenges imposed on all of us.

Additional information on the mask mandate is available on a link listed below.

Order of Acting Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Health Directing Face Coverings in School Entities.

Sincerely yours,

Dr. Keith Wolfe

Superintendent
