Emporium, Pennsylvania

Located in the heart of the PA Wilds, this tiny community offers hometown charm. With a population of barely 2,000 people, the tree-lined streets give way to small locally owned shops and restaurants. Walk the historical church district which includes stained glass windows from the 1800s or bring your bike and enjoy the rails to trails which cut through the center of town. A trip to Emporium would not be complete without a stop at the courthouse that features Lady Justice NOT wearing a blindfold. Emporium is aptly named because of its ties to International and national history. The dynamite used to build the Panama Canal was manufactured here, the flagstone at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier mined here, Sylvania and the introduction of radio tubes had its start in Emporium. Spend time in Emporium and take a walk back in time.
